The Country Music Association created the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1961. Two years later they announced that they would be building a building to house the Country Music Hall of Fame on Music Row in Nashville. As part of raising funds to build the building, CMA put out an album in 1965, then another in 1966. The second was reissued 12 years later with a new cover
